Human Cyber-Physical Systems Lab at FIU has been actively developing new technology to enable the robot directly work with human users. We have implemented smart, AI-based technology to support closed collaboration/interaction between human and robotic agents. Ongoing projects include human exoskeleton robots to assist the human workforce, lower-limb robotic prostheses to restore natural walking in amputees, and neurorehabilitation robots to enhance early-stage brain injuries.
